This is a simple sort of Mensa test. I got 28. Apparently that makes me a genius. After about an hour while watching TV. But now it’s time to go to bed and I can’t get the last few. Drop me a comment if you can work out the one’s I’m stumped on: 20, 28, 29, 30, 33. Nighty night ![]()

you were wondering... I believe in rewarding commenters!
Some cryptic clues:
20. How many things have 8 anything? Think deeply – you might change colour.
28. You’d have to be on acid to get the answer to this one, and it helps not to be one short.
29. 64 – now that’s a square isn’t it?
30. Not states, they’re Boering.
33. How well do you know Long John’s song?
Very tricky Dan… very tricky
Hi Al,
It was a family effort but we managed to get them all – your missing answers:
20: 8 tentacles on an octopus (Madeleine got this one!)
28: 23 pairs of chromosomes in the human body
29: 64 squares on a chess board
30: 9 provinces in South Africa
33: 15 men on a dead man’s chest
Yo, ho, ho!
