It’s not in my interests to say this, because I’d be happy to see some nice ongoing volume of inbound links from SEM Search, but honestly, I’d really like to see Gabe Rivera over at techmeme.com create a “marketingmeme.com“, that removes SEM/SEO/SMO/PR/etc stuff out of techmeme and puts it under its own “engine”, building off, say, Lee Odden’s list, with some fuzzy logic around that, finding other on-topic blogs as well.
Heck… he’s all setup to do it, so why not? We’re a big enough “vertical” to justify our own existence, aren’t we?
As a measure of goodwill in that direction, I have registered marketingmeme.com (I pondered other names but that was broad enough to cover the different flavours of skills and services in our area), and I’ll hand it over to Gabe if he wants to run with it.
So, internet marketing community? How about we express our desire for a MarketingMeme? All you have to do is drop a quick positive comment under this post as a vote in favour of this idea, and I’ll make sure Gabe sees it!
OK. Over to you, fellow marketer. Your vote counts!

I am in. But I would like to extend it to digital marketing in general. not just SEO/SEM, etc. Online Advertising, E-mail Marketing, Social Media Marketing all should be part of it.
I would very much appreciate a site for this!!
Setting up your own memetracker will be easier in a few months. I’m a student in Google Summer of Code working with the Drupal project. I’m building an opensource memetracker. I’d love to help you set up a marketing memetracker once the technology is more mature. Check out my blog post:
