Tino had some (serious) spare time on his hands and created the 2000 Bloggers portable online photo wall (my name for it).
He put my face in at number 20, which is at least likely to pay off for me with some more click-thrus than Jeremy Zawodny who’s a few hundred faces down… but then, there’s a guy who doesn’t need the link!
What’s kind of neat about this crazy crazy project is that it’s portable. So, unlike the milliondollarhomepage, you’re not one of a gazillion links on one PR6 page, you’re one of 2000 links on a — perhaps — a lot more pages of lower PageRank… but is the sum total more valuable?
One big problem with this, though. It’s an INSANE lot of images to load on a page. How many people are really going to copy the code onto a page on their site? I certainly won’t.
